Some genealogies include a page for the 1880 census in the documentation for Willie Allen, reporting William W Allen as a 5-month-old son of John R and Nancy Allen in Lamar County. The location is reasonable for what we know of Willie's later life. Lamar County is just west of Red River County, where he and his wife Louella lived later. But this census has a different middl einitial from the 1930 census, which reports him as Willie T, while the 1910 census has his name as Willie E. So Willie's middle initial changes, and is missing in the 1920 census. 1880 Federal Census, Lamar County, Texas, 31 June, Precinct 4, page 13, District 5, Hse/Fam #111 Allen, John R W M 29 Farming Cannot Read or write KY KY KY Allen, Nancy W F 33 Wife Keeping House MO TN TN Allen, Joel W W M 5 Son Single Works on Farm Cannot Read or write TX KY MO Allen, Louella W F 3 Dau TX KY MO Allen, William W W M 5mos born Jany Son TX KY MO In 1910, Willie was reported married and resident in Bowie County, two counties est of Lamar County. 1910 Federal Census, Bowie County, Texas, 2 May, Precinct 4, District 17, page 15A, Hse #232, Fam #236 Allen, Willie E Head M W 31 Married 2 yrs TX MS TX Farmer Owns Allen, Ella Wife F W 18 Married 2 yrs 2 children/2 living TX TX TX Allen, Mabel Dau F W 19months (?!)
