She was united in marriage June 21, 1885, to Frank M. Dixon of Sullivan, County, MO. To this union ten children were born. Her husband and three children, Edith Bell, Alice Evelyn, who became Mrs. Kenneth Burnett, and Clarence Seth, preceded her in death. She was baptized and became a member of the Christian church of Kinsley, Oct. 1, 1920. In the fall of 1886, they moved to Hodgeman County, Ks., where they lived the most of their lilves, except for a short stay in Gunnison, Colo. and Kinsley, Ks. . Hambrick was James' mother's maiden name. James died in 1876.
