Another reseacher and descendant of this Green lineage reports that Ansel's
full name was Ansel Landrum Bandy. She tells a story about him during the
Civil War.

"Landrum Bandy is actually Ansel Landrum Bandy son of Dicey Green and William
Bandy. Most of his legal papers say A.L. Bandy until after he joined the
Union Army. He went AWOL from his Confederate Army Company...his family
disowned him. He left a wife and child in Tennessee. He remarried in
Nashville to a Mary Ann Burgess during the War. After the War, they moved to
Kentucky and he started using the name Lee as his middle name. However, he is
the Landrum referred to in Shadrack Green's Will."

In the 1850 and 1860 census, Elizabeth (also known as Eliza) is enumerated
with her second hudband, J H Elliott. She is reported as 30 years old in
1850, 40 years old in 1860, and their oldest chidl is 7/17 years old, meaning
born about 1843. That would mean they amrried about 1842, which is the year
reported for the death of her first husband, Jonathan Henson, father of Mary
Isabella Henson.

In 1870, they are still in the same location, but the name of the county was
changed for a short period after the Civil War, and it is now Davis County.
This census reports Elizabeth's birth place as Kentucky.

In 1880, Elizabeth is a widow and is reported under what may be her maiden
name, Barcroft. Her daughter Mary Isabella and her second husband, Benjamin
Franklin Smith, are living in the household. Since she is widowed the name
Barcroft looks like it could be a second married name of Eliza. But most
genealogies report her maiden name was Barcroft, as the Pfaff genealogy above.

I have not found a specific record of her maiden name, or of her with her
parents. She may have gone back to using her maiden name after the death of
her second husband, James Elliott. A couple of genealogies report her name as
Elizabeth Hambrick Barcroft. But this is an error. Hambrick was James'
mother's maiden name. James died in 1876.

Elizabeth's memorial on Find a Grave reports that Barcroft is her maiden name
and rep[ortsd both her parents' names.
