Several genealogies report Mary Inez Bonner as the wife of James Theodore Poston. Their memorials on Find a Grave of their burial in Hockenberry Cemetery, Tichnor, Arkansas, link their memorials as spouse. But other genealogies report James' wife as Lena Hall, and reference a marriage record in DeWitt, Arkansas County, Arkansas, for their marriage on 27 July 1924. Two sons and a daughter of Mary Bonner Poston are linked on FAG with birth dates in 1924 and 1925. But they may be her stepchildren. Some genealogies report a marriage of Mary Bonner and James T Poston in 1922, which would put their marriage 2 years before James' marriage to Lena, but the births of the two Poston children reported to be Mary's sons are Charles Thomas on 20 Jan 1924 and Harry Mack on 25 Jan 1925, both in Arkansas County. No marriage record has been found. No marriage record is found for Mary and James, but the Hawpe Family Tree reports they were married in 1922. No documentation is included. Charles Thomas Poston, age 16, matches the surviving son reported in Mary Bonner's obit (included in the FAG memorial below), and reports daughter Dorothy Poston, age 17. Harry Mack Poston reported as a son of Mary's who died at age 1 would have been born after the reported marriage of Lena Hall to the James T Poston of DeWitt who seems to be the same person, and who is so reported in many genealogies. The 1930 record for Jim Poston and Lena match birth state and age for James Theodore Poston who was married to Mary Inez Bonner. These ages would match Charles' reported birthday on his grave of 20 Jan 1924, and mean Dorothy was born about 1923. Dorothy and Charles are ocnsistently reported by genealogies as the children of James and Mary. Mary Inez Bonner is included in the Hawpe Family Tree, has reconstructed the family to include over 15, 000 descendants of the original ancestor Rudolph Hawpe, German immigrant to Pennsylvania, born in the 1700s. The Hawpe Famliy Tree incldues many details, but does not document each fact presented in the traditoinal way in tree format. The VanHorn famliy is one branch of the Hawpe line. Mary Inez Bonner's mother was a Vanhorn. ------------------------ Sallie Ann Vanhorn was born April 01, 1868 in Tichnor, Arkansas Co., AR, and died December 11, 1911.
