Jim and Amanda are in their own household in Tillman, Oklahoma, with all their children, whereas in the Montana census they and all the children are in her parents' household. Their last child Carmen had been born in Montana in 1917, so they had been living there since about 1916. The next child, reported in the 1930 census, was also born in Montana, so they must have been on a trip to Oklahoma for a short time. However, it was long enough that they were renting the house in which they were enumerated in Tillman. They had already been living in Montana since about 1916, because Ilene's little sister Carmen was born there in May or June 1916. I don't know why they were back in Oklahoma, nless they were just home for a holiday visit. I have found several other cases of the same family or individual being enumerated more than once in the same census. But the farthest away I have found it happening, I think, was a neighboring county. Birth states of the children in 1930 tells us additionally that they moved form Montana to Minnesota between 1921. The last child Bernard was born in Minnesota about 1926.
