A Bill of Sale is registered in Independence County, Arkansas, to a James Brundrett in 1820. Since our James Brundrett was born in 1816 or so, this must be his father. This is the first record I have found of James' father's name. One genealogy adds some helpful details, appearing to be from famliy sources, but there are problems. The 1960 entry of name change to Vaughan seems to be an entry error or transcription error, since the actual marriage record has the date of marriage to Jerry Vaughan as 27 February 1970. Maybe the date of 1962 for the change of name to Nolan was also an error, since the date is before her marriage to John Nolan.
