A 1900 census record, posted by genealogies as this family, reports parents William and Jane P with 7 children. This appears to be the correct family. But they were enumerated with the name Burkett, easy enough to understand a confusion. But William's father is reported here as born in Tennessee instead of England, and Jane is reported as having only 7 children and all 7 living. This does not account for James and Andrew who are out of the home. This must just be an uncannily similar family. The census reports that William and Jane have been married 27 years, or marrying about 1873. The first child reported in the 1900 census was born in 1882. James Brundrett was born in 1872, which would match a marriage by his parents in 1872. James' brother William was born in 1877. So perhaps the report of having only 7 children was an error by the enumerator. 1900 Federal Census, Van Buren County, Arkansas, no date, Bradley Township, District 135, page 11B, Hse/Fam #189 Burkett [Brundrett], William Head W M Feb 1852 48 Married 27 years AR TN TN Farmer Owns Burkett, Jane P Wife W F Feb 1854 46 Married 27 years 7 children/7 living AR Unknown TN Burkett, Sevsa [?] Dau W F Apr 1879 21 Single AR AR AR Burkett, Leona L Son [sic] W M June 1882 17 Single AR AR AR Farm Labor Burkett, Liddie Dau W F Feb 1884 16 Single AR AR AR Burkett, George C Son W M Jan 1887 13 Single AR AR AR Farm Labor Burkett, Ida Dau W F Nov 1888 11 Single AR AR AR Burkett, Thomas D Son W M Feb 1892 8 AR AR AR Burkett, Mary G F Apr 1995 5 Single AR AR AR

Some early lists of children of Daniel (Daniel John) and M (maybe Mary) Green listed one son named William Bryant Green. It seems clear, now, with added information and more records now available and compared, that this was a misunderstanding of Fannie Green's husband, William Bryant. Fannie was a daughter of Daniel John and M (maybe Mary) Green. They had a son named William Bryant Green. An early genealogy reporting a list of the children stated that all the children received $77 as settlement of estate of Daniel Green according to Court records dated 8 Apr 1859, Hall County, Georgia. This statement was found in an old genealogy that had the children of Daniel and Mary Green, with just this statement in the notes for most of the children. This is probably the reason William Bryant was mistaken as the first two names of a child of Daniel and Mary. One of the children was named as William Bryant Green. We known now that this William Bryant was not William Bryant Green, but the husband of Daniel's daughter Fannie, William Bryant. This was confirmed for me when I received a message from a descendant of Fannie giving some family details, including the identification of Fannie Green Bryant's son as Hardy Bryant. Georgia Marriages to 1850 #759 Hall County, Georgia "License of William Bryant and Fanny Green returned solemnized 16th day of October 1832 - Joseph Dunagan, JJC" Other families reporting this family and the Bryant connection also report that Fannie's husband was one William Bryant. This is supported by the 1850 and 1860 censuses, on which family researchers have commented on Ancestry.com, further strengthening the identification. In the 1860 census, next door to William and Fanny is Hardy Bryant and his wife Winney G. This Hardy Brant is age 26, matching a son of William. He also had a brother name William Brant. At this age Hardy would be the oldest child on this census. This matches the 1850 census, which reported all the children only by their initial. The oldest child then was H Bryant, age 16. In 1860, the oldest child still in William and Fanny's household is 22-year-old John. S Bryant in 1850 is matched by Sanford Bryant, age 60 in 1860, in his own household near his parents and his brother Hardy. 1850 Federal Census, Hall County, Georgia, 5 August, District 38, page (scan 338B), Hse/Fam #69 William Bryant 41 M Farmer $400 Real Estate b SC Cannot read or write A Bryant 42 F b SC Cannot read or write H Bryant 16 M Laborer b Georgia S Bryant 14 F b Georgia J Bryant 10 M b Georgia M B Bryant 8 M b Georgia M Bryant 6 F b Georgia W Bryant 2 M b Georgia 1860 Federal Census, Hall County, Georgia, 6 June, District 575, PO Gainesville, page 10, Hse #77, Fam #69 William Bryant 50 M Farmer $3000 Real Estate $1025 Personal born SC Cannot read or write[b abt 1810] Fanny Bryant 52 F born SC Cannot read or write[b abt 1808] John Bryant 22 M Farmer born Georgia Cannot read or write[b abt 1838] Minor Bryant 20 M Farmer born Georgia Cannot read or write[b abt 1840] Mary Bryant 14 F born GA [b abt 1846] William Bryant 10 F born Georgia [b abt 1850] Thomas Bryant 7 M born Georgia [b abt 1853] William and Fanny's two sons Hardy and Sanford are in the next two households on this page of the census. 1860 Federal Census, Hall County, Georgia, 6 June, District 575, PO Gainesville, page 10, Hse #77, Fam #70 Hardy Bryant 26 M Farmer $500 Personal born GA Cannot read or write[b abt 1834] Winney E Bryant 20 F born GA Cannot read or write[b abt 1840] 1860 Federal Census, Hall County, Georgia, 6 June, District 575, PO Gainesville, page 10, Hse #79, Fam #71 Sanford Bryant 25 M Farmer $300 Personal born GA Cannot read or write[b abt 1835] Jain [sic] Bryant 17 F born GA Cannot read or write[b abt 1843]

But that would mean they were married a year already in 1900. Yet in 1900 Rena is still Single in her parents home. Their oldest child Glen is reported as 10 years old, but if the 1900 census is correct, they could not have married before 1 June 1900. So unless he was conceived out of wedlock Glen was not born in 1900. Rena lived until 1970. But in 1930, when her husband Sam Holt died, his birth certificate reports him as widowed and his previously deceased wife as Vivian Holt. Social Security Death Index Rena Holt [Nancy Lurena Buckley] Born 4 Jan 1883 Died 15 Aug 1970 Last Residence Vallejo, Solano, California 94590 SSN 571-80-7502 issued California (1966) The SSDI says her residence at the time of death was in Solano County, California, but her Oklahoma death certificate reports that she died in Marietta, Love County, Oklahoma. The date also differs, with the SSDI saying 15 Aug 1970 and the death certificate saying 1 Aug 1970. Could these two Rena Holts with such similar death dates? The SSN is the same on the death certificate as on the SSDI record. How does Senility cause Nephritis (irritation or disorder of the kidneys)?
