One genealogy with limited details but believable information reports Frances' maiden as Chmielewski. This name is reflected on some other genealogies also. Frances Chmielewski Birth ABT 1910 in Oklahoma, Death Unknown Parents: Steve Chmielewski b 1871 Mary b 1882 Married Oscar Charles Hill 1901 -- Stefani Family, http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/75895909/person/48329127248?ssrc=&ml_rpos=5&ftm=1 Other records, however, matching thhis Framces Chiemielewski, report she died in 2000, not 1998, and in Illinois, not Oklahoma. and Chimielewski was hte Illinois Frances' married name, with a maiden name of Niemiec. This calls into question the validity of Oscar HIll's wife's name as Chimielewski. In the 1940 census, Frances is enumerated as the wife of Oscar Charles Hill in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The daughter Viva (Veva) June is Oscar's daughter from his first marriage to Mabel Jenkins. Oscar and Mabel divorced after the 1930 census, when they were enumerated as married with their household in Fort Cobb, Caddo County, Oklahoma. Since it appears the youngest child here, born in 1932, would be a child of this second marriage, we can estimate that Oscar and Frances were married about 1931. The daughter named here as Hill must be Frances' daughter from an earlier marriage. One genealogy, however, reports Frances and Oscar married in 1935, but gives no source for this date. This could be but note the difference in the records here. For Oscar, location in 1935 is reported as "same house," while for Francis (Frances), it is "same place," which could indicate the same town or ward, but not the same household. 1940 Federal Census, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, 5 April, Oklahoma City Ward 4 Block 9, District 78-144, page 5B, 2512 SW 27th St, Hse #95, Owns $1000 Hill, Oscar C Head F W 39 Married Grade 6 b Texas same house in 1935 Bacon Wrapper, Meat Packing Co Hill, Francis Wife F W 30 Married Grade 8 b Oklahoma same place in 1935 Egg Candler, Meat Packing Co Hill, Viva June Dau F W 14 Single Grade 7 b Oklahoma same place Hill,Dau F W 12 Single Grade 7 b Oklahoma same place Hill, Julia Dau F W 8 Single Grade 7 b Oklahoma same place The census tells us that Oscar was working in a meat factory of Wilson and Company. II. The second wife was Chony. A. Baldwin Parker married (1) Nora Acquitsaketah. B. Honnie "Honey" married Acousiquita. C. Harold Parker -- Parker Heritage, http://www.parkerheritage.com/forum/topics/quanah-parkers-wives-and?groupUrl=quanahparkerfamilyhistory&groupId=2004583%3AGroup%3A8614&id=2004583%3ATopic%3A9139&page=3 In 1900 Chony is enumerated with her husband in a list including 4 other wives, and with her daughter Honnie. Honnie's father is reported as born in Oklahoma Territory even though Quanah is reported born in Texas. In analyzing the number of years married, note that Quanah's report says 24 years, the same as for To-nar-sy and Chony. Yet for Chony, the first child reported is Baldwin, born about 1887, which would make one think they married only a year or two before Baldwin's birth, or about 1886. Other Parker sources report that Weck-e-ah was the first wife. Yet here she is reproted to have been married only 22 years. The Parker Heritage site is that reports Weck-e-ah as the first wife, but provides no years for marriges or births for anyone. 1900 Federal Census, Oklahoma Territory, 11 June, Apache, Kiowa & Comanche Reservation, District 12, page 74A, Hse #744, Fam #749 Parker, Quanah Head Ind M 1852 48 Married 24 yrs [mar abt 1876] TX TX TX Farmer Owns Comanche Father Comanche Mother Comanche 1/2 White Parker, To nar sy Wife Ind M 1865 35 Married 24 yrs [mar abt 1876] 1 children/- living OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche Parker, Wick e ah Old Wife Ind F 1860 40 Married 22 yrs [mar abt 1878] 4 children/- living OklaTerr TX OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche Parker, Tope se up Dau Ind F 1894 6 Single OklaTerr OklaTerr OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche 1/4 White Parker, Ho pah rah Mother-in-law W F 1810 90 Widow OklaTerr Unk Unk Comanche Comanche Comanche Parker, Chony Wife Ind F 1863 37 Married 24 yrs [mar abt 1876] 4 children/2 living OklaTerr OklaTerr OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche Parker, Honnie Dau Ind F 1892 8 Single OklaTerr OklaTerr OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche 1/4 White Parker, Mah Che to Wook Ki Wife Ind F 1862 38 Married 18 yrs [mar abt 1882] 3 children/2 living OklaTerr OklaTerr OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche Parker, Laura [Matches Bessie in other lists] Dau Ind F 1895 5 Single OklaTerr OklaTerr OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche Parker, Topay Wife Ind F 1879 21 Married 6 yrs [mar abt 1884] 1 children/1 living OklaTerr OklaTerr OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche Parker, Kelsy Son W F [sic] 1 Single OklaTerr OklaTerr OklaTerr Comanche Comanche Comanche 1/4 White 1905 Indian Census Rolls, Comanche Tribe, Oklahoma, 30 June, Kiowa Agency, Comanche Tribe, Page 22 Ind Name Quanah Eng Name Quanah Parker Male Husband age 64 Ind Name To-nar-cy Female Wife age 41 Eng Name Esther Parker Female age 18 Ind Name Ne-dah Eng Name Laura Parker Feale age 23 Ind Name Cho-ny Female Mother age 43 Eng Name Honnie Parker Female Daughter age 14 Ind Name Tah-too-ah-rap Eng Name Baldwin Parker Male age 18 Cho ny Birth 1863 Death Jun. 19, 1913 Spouse Quanah Parker (1845 - 1911) Children: Honnie Parker (1882 - 1919) Harold Parker (1883 - 1902) Baldwin Parker (1887 - 1963) Burial Cache Kiowa Comanche Apache Intertribal Cemetery, Comanche County, Oklahoma Created by Cokeman2 Mar 14, 2010 -- Find A Grave Memorial #49678495, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=49678495

An excellent biography is provided for Turner Chrisitan in his memorial on Find a Grave, including information on his parents and wife. This is a significant additiona to our portraint of the Christian family in this era. ----------------------------------- Turner Christian Birth Jul 11, 1750 Goochland County, Virginia, USA Death Apr 7, 1832 Dewy Rose, Elbert County, Georgia, USA Turner Christian served as Lieutenant in the Goochland County VA militia during the Revolutionary War. Son of Charles, Jr (1710 - 1784) and Mary (Leake) Christian First wife Anne (Payne) Christian married January 03, 1778, Goochland Their children were ... 1. Charles Woodson Christian (m. Nancy Ruff and Mary Walton Maxwell) 2. William Payne Christian (m. Sarah Maxwell) 3. Jesse George Christian (m. Nancy Higginbotham) Second wife Elizabeth (Penn) Christian married 1788, Amherst Co., VA The following was contributed by Irvin Christian ~ 2013: For those persons with ties to Turner Christian, (the Revolutionary soldier) the burial site is about 150 yards north of Piper Road in Elbert County. Piper Road is a dirt road approximately 2 miles from the city limits of Elberton. Leaving Elberton, go north on Bowman road to Piper Road, turn left onto Piper and drive approximately 1/4 mile. Park your car and go into the woods on the north side. Turner's VA marker is in the center of a 30 X 30 burial plot with 22 other markers with no inscriptions. Beware! This is deer hunting season and you should wear a bright orange vest. Hunting rights on this land is leased to a deer hunting club and they may be hunting in this area. This land is owned by Mr. Victor Ford, Athens, Ga. I talked with him last week and obtained permission for access to the burial site. Permission was also obtained to clear away the undergrowth and erect a small chain around the plot. We hope to get a Boy Scout group or perhaps a Girl Scout unit in Elberton to go in and clean up the site. Many Boy (and Girl) Scouts do such work in various locations throughout the country. This burial site was described by Eunice V. Stacey in her book "Christian of Charles City" which was published many years ago and it has been visited by others since then. Mr. Ford was not aware that Turner Christian had preserved one acre for the cemetery when the deed was written many years ago. Since then the property has changed ownership, probably several times. However, this poses no problem for any one since Mr. Ford has very graciously offered access to the property. If someone in the Elberton area knows how to contact a Scout troop, please let me know. The location in McCurtain County fits, matching known members of the family and census records of Jack. The name of the wife is similar to Jack's wife Verda Mae. The birth date is three years different from the birth date in the 1900 census above, January 1883. World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918 Andrew Jackson Christian Residence Bismark, McCurtain County, Oklahoma Birth Date 4 Jan 1880 Occupation Farming Wife Mrs Birdie Christian Medium Height and Build, Brown Eyes, Black Hair Registered 10 Sept 1918 Idabel, McCurtain, Oklahoma Signed Jack Christian The 1910 census confirms the full form of Jack's name, and his family relationships, as we find him and his father in the same household. Zene and Jack are living in the household of Jack's older brother Daniel W Christian. Daniel Zene has apparently been widowed, although the enumerator left the marital status field on Zene's record blank, for some reason. In the fashion of the censuses, we aer given another age and birth date for Andrew J here, yielding another alternative birth date in 1885. 1910 Federal Census, Kiowa County, Oklahoma, 4 May, Mtn View Township, District 179, page 9A, Hse/Fam #107 Christian, Daniel W Head M W 28 Married 7 years TX TN TX Laborer, Farm Hand Owns Christian, Lillie Wife F W 22 Married 7 years 4 children/3 living TX TX TN Christian, Imalove Dau F W 6 TX TX TX Christian, Norman Son F W 2 OK TX TX Christian, Hazel Dau F W 4mos OK TX TX [b abt Nov 1909, based on census date of 1 April] Christian, Daniel Z Father M W 50 [Marital Status unreported] Tenn England Alabama Farmer Christian, Andrew J Brother M W 25 Single TX TN TX Farmer [b abt 1885] The 1920 census reports Zene and Verda there and to confirm the family identity, his father Zene is in the household. 1920 Federal Census, McCurtain County, Oklahoma, 28 January, Fowler Township, District 137, page 14A, Hse #266, Fam #270 Christian, Jack Head Owns Free M W 39 Married TX MO TX Farmer [b abt 1885] Christian, Verda Wife F W 21 Married AR NC AR No Occupation Christian, Inez Dau M W 11mos OK TX OK Christian, Zene Father M W 64 Widowed MS MS MS Farm Laborer 1930 Federal Census, Washita County, Oklahoma, 13 May, Elk Township, District 14, page 12A, Hse #238, Fam #253 Christian, Jack Head Rents Does not owns a radio M W 46 First Married at age 34 TX MS TX Farmer [b abt 1884] Christian, Verda M Wife F W 32 First Married at age 20 AR NC AR [b abt 1910] Christian, Inez Dau F W 11 OK TX AR [b abt 1919] Christian, Vivian Dau F W 9 OK TX AR [b abt 1921] Christian, Fred Son M W 7 OK TX AR [b abt 1923] Andrew Jackson "Jack" Christian Birth 4 Jan 1880 in Cash [should be Cass] County, Texas Death 18 Aug 1948 in Chickasha, Grady, Oklahoma Parents: Daniel Zene Christian 1856 - 1934 Elizabeth Mahala Petty 1861 - 1892 Verda Mae Smith Birth 27 May 1898 in Arkadelphia, Clark, Arkansas Death 28 May 1933 -- Smith Family, http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/18471277/person/663981033?ssrc=&ftm=1 It appears that this genealogy has mistaken the county of Jack's birth. I don't know of this family ever being as far south as Cash County (Houston Metro area). The Christian clan were in Cass County and Hunt County in the northeast, before most moved to Indian Territory/Oklahoma. Note that in the 1900 census, when Jack was 17 years old, they were still in Cass County. The date is a problem also. The birth date reported by thsi genealogy is 4 January 1880, which comes from Jack's WWI registration. This conflicts with his brother Daniel's birth date of 11 Nov 1879, found consistently in several records. Jack's age reported int eh censues varies from 1883 to 1885. 1900 reported the date as Jan 1883. 1910 age puts it abt 1885, 1930 abt 1884. A family source was found that confirmed the year of birth was 1883, as reported in the 1900 census. The Smith Family Tree, by "LaQuittaOK," has this note on Jack's birth form the Family Bible: "Andrew Jackson Christian: In family bible: 'Andrew Jackson Christian was born January 4, 1883.'"
