Notes for Dolores Bess CHRISTIANSEN

Dolores gives information on her children in her letter to her
great-grandfather Joseph Asa Jenkins. In a photo taken 1 Feb 1957, ages of
the oldest child, Andrea Rose Frank, is given as age 9. I have estimated time
of marriage by adding a year to that age, allowing for about 10 years for
marriage, depending on date of marriage and date of birth of Andrea.

A marriage license was found for Bess when she was age 19, to marry Wayne
Dodd, in Idaho in 1946.

Dolores Obituary

Dolores Bess Frank
January 20, 1927 - Nov. 17, 2009

Dolores Bess Frank was born in Ontario, OR, on January 20, 1927. She passed
away in her home in Bend, OR on November 17, 2009, with long-time family
friend, John Hutmacher watching over her. A funeral will be held at the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Mountain View Ward at 1260
Thompson Drive on November 30th at 10:30 a.m. A private family interment will
follow. Friends and loved ones are welcome to gather at the church to share
in the celebration of Dolores' life.

Dolores was very involved in her church and her community. She greatly
enjoyed making blankets and toys and donated them to Grandma's House. Her
compassion and kindness were gladly shared with loved ones and strangers
alike. She retired in Bend, but professed that her heart always had a
fondness for the life and adventures she shared in Alaska with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Truman Frank and her daughter,
Andrea. She is survived by her sons, Greg Frank (wife Carol) of Meridian, ID,
and Michael Frank (wife Linda) of Eagle River, AK; sisters, Jan Miller and
Gloria Standing; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Grandma's
House at P.O. Box 8693 Bend, OR 97708 or Cascade Youth & Family Center at
62895 Hamby Road Bend, OR 97701.

Baird Funeral Home is handling all arrangements 541-382-0903.
