After Penina is Lucinda, and the last-named child is Dr William Wilshire Philpot. Lucinda does not appear in the 1860 census, but is in the 1870 census as 15 years old. Where was she in 1860? It might be another name for one of the other chidlren, but there is no other girl child close to the age of Lucinda. The Ancestry scan of the 1860 census is incomplete, cutting off most the right section of the sheet from the birth state field to the right edge of the sheet. I don't know which James Philpot this is working on the farm. Elizabeth appears in the Find-a-Grave list below, as well as Sarah. In the 1860 census she is reported as 17 yeas old, but the name Elizabeth does not appear in the 1850 census for the family. Maybe Sarah is reported in 1860, with an age matching Elizabeth in 1860. WQith what we now now, this leads to the tentative conclusion that Sarah and Elizabeth are the same child, even though both lists appear in the Find-a-Grave list. 1860 Federal Census, Calhoun County, Mississippi, 20 July, PO Erin, page 680, Hse #1014, Fam #1029 Jesse R Philpot 50 M Farm Laborer $0 Real Estate #100 Personal born [birth unreadable] Jemima Philpot 49 F born GA Rubin Philpot 20 M Farm Laborer born [birth unreadable] Elizabeth Philpot 17 F born [birth unreadable] Thomas Philpot 13 M born [birth unreadable] Penina Philpot 10 F born [birth unreadable] William Philpot 6 M born [birth unreadable] James Philpot 25 M Farm Laborer born GA They were enumerated twice for some reason in two hosues in neighboring counties. 1860 Federal Census, Lafayette County, Mississippi, 24 September, PO Paris, page 1217, Hse/Fam #948 Jesse Philpot 45 M Farmer $0 Real Estate #250 Personal born TN Mima Philpot 40 F born SC Jasper Philpot 18 M Laborer born MS Thomas Philpot 14 M born MS William Philpot 8 M born MS Elizabeth Philpot 16 F born MS [listed after William for some reason, eevn though older than Thomas] Penina Philpot 12 F born MS [also older than William] In the 1870 census record, I cannot identify the child reported as Jane, age 24 here. The folloiwng record for the 1870 census reports Alfred M Green and his family. Eliza's grave reports she died in March 1868 The 1870 is at first puzzling, reporting an Eliza Green as keeping house. He and Christina were married in Missouri in 1841, their daughter Eliza was born in 1845 in Missouri, but by 1850 Christina and Eliza were living with one of her siblings in Missouri. I could never find Nelson Decker again, although I had a professional genealogist in Missouri "look" for him. The Waggoners and Lopps came from Germany, settled in North Carolina and some of them did not speak English for many years; they were apparently people of "means" as they had much land and many slaves. originally written by: Ann Drake, ancestry.com Mother Christina C Lopp Decker (1816 - 1879) Spouse Alfred M Green (1833 - 1907) Daughter Olevia Lee Green Dobbs (1861 - 1939) Burial Clark Cemetery, Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, USA Created by Tammy Clark Brown Oct 26, 2011 -- Find A Grave Memorial #79304458, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=79304458 ----------------

It has seemd to me that the older Arkansas-born child, Florence, bnorn abotu 1852, was the daughter of Hannah. But some researchers believe Regina was her mother. There is no documentation on any site to confirm that, no have I found any. The question is, at this stage, moot.
