D. and Cornelia Pearson on the west; John S. and Martha Pearson on the east. The three Pearson men sold a four-acre parcel along the south side of the Jackson-Lexington Road and a half-acre lot on a spring that fed into Trace Creek, in the crease of a hollow south of the four-acre parcel, January 1, 1868 to Mary L. (Fogg), wife of Samuel D. Barnett, a veteran of the recent Civil War (Captain, Co. H, 51 Inf. Regt., CSA), a younger brother of John M. Barnett long a prominent farmer north of Claybrook; for $162.50. With this purchase went the timber on the nearby "old" Keith place, except for the oak and chestnut trees fifteen or more inches in diameter, three feet from the ground. A right of way was also provided for a wagon lane, access to the mill site being projected from the main road. The Barnetts built a frame house on the four-acre parcel and a steam saw-grist-cotton gin on the half-acre lot that same year. The mill was known for many years thereafter as the Claybrook Mill. On December 13, 1869 the Barnetts sold to Evander M. Betts their new house and four acres on the main road and their steam mill and the timber on the nearby Keith place, for $2950. There were still large stands of fine virgin hardwood in this area. The Betts family lived in Claybrook for years but E. M. "Vander" Betts sold a half-interest in the steam mill to the three Pearson men, father and sons, June 21, 1871, along with half of the timber on the former Keith farm. -- Our Claybrook Heritage, (Madison County, Tennessee), By Jonathan K. Mourning Star was the descendant of a line of Choctaw "royalty" and a European trader named Nathaniel Folson. ------------------------- Nathaniel and Edmund Folsom, fifth generation from John1, are the founders of the Choctaw Folsoms. It is said that Nathaniel Folsom's father (Israel Folsom) took his family to North Carolina, and then on to Georgia, where Nathaniel had some schooling. Then, then they journeyed to Choctaw country. Here, Nathaniel (about 19 years of age by now... it was about 1775), had some kind of dispute with his father. The result was that his father and the rest of the family left, and Nathaniel stayed behind. He was to remain with the Choctaw for the rest of his life. Nathaniel ran a trading post, located along an ancient Indian trail that later became known as the Natchez Trace, and although that was more than three hundred years ago, a marker still stands to show where the trading post, called "Pigeon's Roost," was found along the Natchez Trace, the main north-south trail to and from the southern parts of the country. Nathaniel married not only one Choctaw bride, he married two. At that time, multiple marriages were common in the Choctaw Nation. He married two sisters and princesses, descended from a line of high chiefs among the Choctaw. Their names were I-Ah-Ne-Cha and Ai-Ne-Chi-Hoyo. These two wives bore 24 children, 14 of whom lived to adulthood. The first of these sisters was Aiahnichih Ohoyoh (which means a woman to be preferred above all others). She was a niece of Miko Puskush (Infant Chief), who was the father of the famous chief, Amosholitubbee. She was a descendant of a long line of ancient chiefs, and belonged to the most prominent clan, Iksa Hattakiholihta, one of the two ruling clans, and the only clan from which chiefs were selected, with an exception now and then. The marriage to her sister was about the same time. -- Ancestry Stories, http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/2846088/person/-1746296355/media/1?pgnum=1&pg=0&pgpl=pid%7cpgNum -------------------------

-------------------- Vergil Ford Birth 1961 Death Apr 1, 2006, USA Vergil Ford, 45, of Moore, OK, passed away on Sat. Apr. 1, 2006 There is not enough room in this paper to adequately describe this extraordinary husband, father and friend. He was, according to everyone who knew him, a man of genuine integrity and could always be depended on for anything. He was truly gifted in many ways. As a mechanic there was nothing he couldn't fix. As a carpenter there was nothing he couldn't build. As a friend there was nothing he wouldn't do. But when it came to his family there was nothing he didn't do. He set the mold for what a man should be to everyone young man or boy that knew him. As a husband, words can't describe. If these words are the only thing you know about Vergil then I am truly sorry that he never had the chance to affect your life the way that he has every single person he has ever come in contact with. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Ivan & Melvina Ford and Father In-law Troy Weese. Survived by his wife Gail; Sons, Shawn, Casey & Travis; grandchildren, Preston, Sierra & Michael; Mother-in-law, Betty Weese; brothers, Roger, Charlie & Wano, and numerous other family members & friends. "I noticed on your website, and that is really nice, that you do not have Zenith's daughter Harriet, she died at 6 years old of quinsey, a peritonsillor abscess in 1860 prior to the 1860 census." -- Terri Escamillo, email to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 4 January 2012 U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1885 Census Location Grassy Knob, Pickens, Georgia, Line 30 Harriet J Forester Gender: Female Born Georgia Age 6, Estimated Birth Year 1854 Death in Jan 1860 Cause of Death: Quinsey

Mary's record here reports that 5 children have been born but only 4 are now living. Another child is reported in some genealogies between Orge and Guy, a daughter named Any, born in 1897. But in the 1910 census, there is no child named Any. The child matching Orge in 1900 has the name that appears to be spelled either Ony or Org, mistranscribed by Ancestry.com as Any. The loop of the G of Guy overlaps with the name above, confusing the situation. Ancestry has also mistranscribed the first child's name, which is Billa here just as in 1900. Several genealogies have just taken over these names Any and Billie apparently without actually reading and checking the actual written names in the census. These Ancestry transcriptions are notorious for misreadings. 1910 Federal Census, Lumpkin County, Georgia, 18 April, Dahlonega City, Enumeration District 113, page 2B, Main St, Hse #37, Fam #38 Forester, Joseph Head M W 44 Married 23 years GA GA GA Laborer, Garedens Rents Forester, Mary Wife F W 43 Married 23 years 7 children/5 living GA GA GA Forester, Brilla Dau F W 21 GA GA GA Cook, Private Fam Forester, Ony Son M W 13 GA GA GA Laborer, Odd Jobs Forester, Guy Son M W 10 GA GA GA Forester, Harold Son M W 6 GA GA GA Georgia Deaths, 1919-98 Joseph Forester Age 6, Birth Date abt 1865 Death 4 May 1941 Lumpkin, Georgia, USA Certificate #22679
