One or more sources has at least one person also as buried in Sharon Methodist Cemetery, but in Anderson County, South Carolina. These two towns are only a few miles apart. The map to Sharon Methodist cemetery in reference to Central, SC, shows the cemetery to the east of the town, and about the same distance to the north of Pendleton in Anderson County. It seems that both these references are referring to the same cemetery for both these towns. Another site reports residence or death in Central, with burial in Sharon Methodist cemetery, but in Anderson County. It seems likely that the cemetery referred to in the first source for Sharon Cemetery in Central is actually located across the county line in Anderson County. I have not been able to determine exactly where the county line runs. Several cemetery lists have Sharon Methodist Cemetery in Newberry County, South Carolina. But the listing shows none of the names I have for people that are reported as buried in Sharon in Anderson or Pickens County. All this area used ot be part of Pendleton District. One source reports Marinda Jane and sister Matilda as twins, with the birth date shown here for Marinda, 14 Jan 1813. But another source shows them with separate birth dates, with the date I have here shown for Matilda, and only the year 1825 shown for Marinda Jane. Neither further documents their sources for the dates. The source for burial information reports the church as Sharon Methodist, and the place as Anderson County. But reports of burial by other sources for other members of the family in Sharon Methodist Cemetery, report it as in Central, Pickens County, South Carolina. Either this source got the location wrong, or there are more than one Sharon Methodist Church cemeteries. It appears after searching various sources, with no reference found yet for the actual county line, that the cemetery is actually in Anderson County. It is a few miles east of Central (supposedly in Pickens County), and about the same distance north of Pendleton (in Anderson County), and about double that distance south of the town of Pickens (also in Pickens County).
The source from World Family Tree has the death of Philadelphia Gaines as After 9 August 1870. There is no explanation about the significance of this date.

Tennessee Marriage Records page 143, record #1272 Allen Gann to Sarah Hatley 3 Oct 1902 Jefferson County performed by W H Strange, JP His obituary posted online has a dateline date of Sept 22, but no year and newspaper name. But the obituary tells us he died "at his home today." The date of death is confirmed on his grave (reported in the Find-a-Grave memorial below), also giving the year, 1941. In 1941, 22 September was on a Thursday. This tells us that the date of death, 22 September 1941, was a Monday. Thus when the obituary tells us that his funeral and burial took place on Wednesday, we can report that the burial took place on 24 September 1941.
