The birth places of Adolph's children tell us about when they moved to Arkansas. The first son Victor was born in Louisiana and the next child Otto was born in Arkansas in abt 1902. The next son Otto was born in Arkansas about 1912. This matches the timeline of the Girerd family, who moved to Arkansas after the birth of their last son Victor in about 1910. Finding the 1910 census for Adolph narrowed this down further, Adolph and his family were enumerated in Arkansas County, Arkansas in the 1910 census, Their youngest child is Aline, age 4, born in Louisiana. In the 1910 census, Leon and his Belgium-born family are living next door to Adolph. The birth places of the children indicate that, like Adolph and Catherine, Leon had immigrated first to Louisiana, then moved early in the 20th century to LaGrue, Arkansas County, Arkansas.
