He should be in the census between James A, reported to be age 5 and John A, age 4 here. There is a grave for a J B Green, reported in his FAG memorial to be a child of John T and Mary R Green. But James A and John A were born only about a year apart. The birth date on JB's grave is 29 November 1875, matching the age of James A in the 1880 census. The birth date on Johnnie A Green's FAG memorial is also 29 November, but the year 1876. The enumerator likely just wrote the wrong middle initial for James. Their death dates are different. We have not seen an image of the gravestone. And Johnnie is further attested in a death record reporting his ful lhname as Johnnie Anthony Green with a wife named Leatha. 1880 Federal Census, Blount County, Alabama, 15 June, Township 12, District 8, page 24, Hse #224, Fam #231 Green, John W M 36 Head Farming GA SC GA [b abt 1844] Green, Mary R W F 35 Wife Housekeeping Cannot read or write GA GA GA [abt 1845] Green, Francis V R W F 13 Dau At Home Cannot write GA GA GA [abt 1867] Green, Liddie L W F 10 Dau At Home Cannot read or write GA GA GA [abt 1870, but cf age 4 in 1870] Green, Sylvania W F 8 Dau At Home AL GA GA [abt 1872] Green, Isaac W M 7 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1873] Green, James A W M 5 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1875] Green, John A W M 4 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1876] Green, Milton J W M 1 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1879] 1920 Federal Census, Blount County, Alabama, 3 January, Nectar Precinct 23, District 2, page 11A, Hse/Fam #31 Green, John A Head Owns M W 43 Married AL GA GA Farmer Green, Elthi L [Leathy] Wife F W 43 Married AL AL AL Green, Earnest Son M W 19 AL AL AL Green, Gerthis Dau F W 18 AL AL AL Green, Levi C Son M W 13 AL AL AL Green, Gladys J Dau F W 9mos AL AL AL 1930 Federal Census, Blount County, Alabama, 10 April, Nectar Precinct 23, District 5-24, page 4A, Nectar to Hayden Rd, Hse #68, Fam #69 Green, John A Head M W 54 Married at age 22 AL AL AL Farmer Owns Green, Lacy L Wife F W 53 Married at age 22 AL AL AL Green, Gladys J Dau F W 12 AL AL AL Alabama, Deaths and Burials Index, 1881-1974 Johnie Anthony Green Birth 29 Nov 1876 Neetar, Alabama Death 20 Sep 1948 Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama Death Age 71, Married Father John T Green born Georgia Mother Rebecca Standridge born Georgia Spouse Name Leatha L Green

This source has deciphered the gravesite death date as 1793 rather than 1798. The 8 and 3 are often difficult to distinguish on old gravestones. The date of 1793 matches the census records for Elias Green in the 1850 Cleveland County, North Carolina, census, where he is 57 years old. ---------------------- John Thomas (Son of Andrew Jackson Green) was born in Hall County, on February 11, 1844 in District 570 (Known as the Whelchel District, named for John and Davis Whelchel, pioneers who settled on little river about 1823.) This area is north if Gainesville Georgia -- the same area where Mark and Joy Green live in the year 2000. He died in Nectar in Blount County, Alabama on May 15, 1915. John Thomas enlisted in the Confederate Army in March of 1862 at Marietta Ga. The records show that he served in the 43rd Georgia infantry, Company B. under Captain IT. Alexander until the war ended. (This is verified by the information he gave in the 1907-8 Blount County Census of Confedrate soldiers.) If they have figured the age of Elizabeth correctly back from the census date of 1 June, as provided in the guidelines, she was born in about January 1870. The name Elizabeth doe snot appear in 1880. She probably died before the census. The 1900 census reports that Mary has had 10 children, but only 9 are living. Some genealogies have conflated Elizabeth and Lydia. But even though Lyddie's age is only 10 in 1880, she was reported as 4 years old in 1870, and both censuses report she was born in Georgia. She the age in 1880 appears to be an error, and all other factors match with Lydia known from other records. 1880 Federal Census, Blount County, Alabama, 15 June, Township 12, District 8, page 24, Hse #224, Fam #231 Green, John W M 36 Head Farming GA SC GA [b abt 1844] Green, Mary R W F 35 Wife Housekeeping Cannot read or write GA GA GA [abt 1845] Green, Francis V R W F 13 Dau At Home Cannot write GA GA GA [abt 1867] Green, Liddie L W F 10 Dau At Home Cannot read or write GA GA GA [abt 1870, but cf age 4 in 1870] Green, Sylvania W F 8 Dau At Home AL GA GA [abt 1872] Green, Isaac W M 7 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1873] Green, James A W M 5 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1875] Green, John A W M 4 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1876] Green, Milton J W M 1 Son AL GA GA [b abt 1879] "My grandfather is Robert Bartow Green, son of Jessie Barta Green, son of John Thomas Green." -- Bobbi Foster, Geneanet Messaging to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 12 June 2019 Note that neither the 1880 census nor the 1900 census reports a child named Jesse. Mr Green's death occured at his home in Nectar Friday [11 May 1915]. He had been in ill health for several months and went to Birmingham some months ago where he was operated on for gall stones. This gave him some relief for a time but he could not regain his strength and death resulted. Mr Green was about 71 years of age and was one of Blount's most substantial and influential citizens. He was a member of the congregational Methodist Church and the Masonic fraternity and stood high in both these institutions. He is survived by his widow and several children. -- The Southern Democrat, Blount County, Alabama, 15 May 1915 [Tuesday], posted by L G on Ancestry 29 Aug 2014, accessed 16 June 2019 ------------------- Though his obituary reports he died on Friday (11 May 1915), his gravestone has the date of death as 15 May 1915. ------------------- John Thomas Green Birth Feb 11, 1844 Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia, USA Death May 15, 1915 Bangor, Blount County, Alabama, USA Son of Andrew J Green. Bangor is an unincorporated palce, but it is listed in the database of Alabama towns. ------------------- Bangor, also known as Coopers Gap, Copperas Gap, or Coppers Gap, is an unincorporated community in Blount County, Alabama. Nearby Bangor Cave housed a speakeasy during Prohibition and continues to be a popular attraction for area spelunkers.[2] The community lies east of Interstate 65 and about 30 miles north of Birmingham. Bangor is located near the former resort community of Blount Springs. In 1937, the landowner of Bangor Cave, J. Breck Musgrove, convinced investors to provide funds for the construction of a nightclub in the cave. The cave soon included a bar, electric lighting, a bandstand, and a lounge for women. A locked room contained slot machines, roulette wheels, and card tables. A spur track of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad could drop visitors off at the entrance to the cave. The caveowners faced legal battles with Alabama governor Bibb Graves, and the Bangor Cafe Club was permanently closed in January 1939. -- "Bangor, Alabama," Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangor,_Alabama -------------------

Shadrack settled in Warren County, and James (Jimmy) settled near the Warren and DeKalb Count line, possibly living in DeKalb County. Shadrack was a preacher for the Old Baptist (hardshell) at Concord Church in Warren County for several years. He preached the Resurrection so strong, he was dismissed. He then went to the Primitive Baptist at Bildad in DeKalb County about two year before his death. He raised a large family. Joseph Green was born 1797 and died after 11/8/1881, buried Concord, Tennessee. Sarah Green was born 1797 and died July, 31. 1863, burial place unknown. Sarah's name might have been Mooney as there was a Mooney in the family somewhere and James' middle name is Mooney. Shadrack Green was born May 12, 1820, and died 11/8/1881. He is burried in Green Cemetery. James (Jimmy) Mooney Green was born 3/2/1822 and died April of 1900. He is buried in Potter Cemetery.
