One or more sources had some confusing information, listing Nancy Green, who appeared to be this Nancy Green, as married to David Hamrick Green. It appears, however, that David Hamrick Green in this source is the same person that several other sources list as David Howell Green. Sources for David Howell Green, usually listed in sources only as David H Green, is reported as the son of John Elias Green and Judith Moore McSwain. The source for David Hamrick Green has him with the same parents as the other sources show for the parents of David Howell Green. I am considering that this source has misunderstood the middle name. All the listings I can find in censuses or genealogies for David H Green match the information for David Howell Green.

This matches the 1880 entry for E J McSwain. The 1900 census reports her, though, as Louisa J McSwain. Her mother is living in the household in the last two censuses, designated as mother-in-law, so we are sure EJ and Louisa are the same person. Some genealogies say her nickname was Liza Jane. I have found no documentation of Bruno's first name. Official records always refer to him only as Bruno Hamrick, except for the 1910 census where he is Ortho B.
