Franks' (isaac's) wife in the 1910 census has changed from Margaret to Martha,
but form the age and places of birth, this appears to be the samem woman. It
is interesting that in 1910, her name is Martha, the same a Frank's first wife
Martha (Mattie) Sledge.

The 1910 census reports this is the second marriage for both. But it also
says the number of years of the resent marriage is 26, an obvious error.
According to this 1900 census, Margaret has borne only 1 child, and we know
that would be Robert Ward, Isaac's stepson. Thus all the Gilbert children here
are the children of Isaac Frank's first wife.

Some genealogies later filled in some missing details.

By 1920, Margret and Frank have moved to Farmersville in Collin County, Texas,
where her parents were living. Her son Robert Ward has rejoined their
hosuehold. Note that the enumerator has mistakenly (probably absentmindedly)
given the three Gilbert children the last name of Ward by putting a ditto
under Wars after the entry for Robert Ward.

Notes for Mary Polly HUNT

Descendant Laurie Lee Butler Myers reports this person with the full name Mary
Polly Hunt. Polly is actually a common nickname for Mary.

Mary Polly Hunt was 26 years old when she married John Pomfert Butler, who was
27 at the time of the marriage. John died in 1837.

In the 1850 census, Polley is still head of her household, and her son John
Isaac is living in the household with his young family.

1850 Federal Census, Giles County, Tennessee, 20 August, District 2, page 615
(scan p 398), Hse/Fam #1
Polley Butler 79 F $20,000 Rel Estate b N Carolina [b abt 1771]
John I Butler 40 M Farmer $4000 Rel Estate b Giles Co TN [b abt 1810]

William L May 23 M Physician b N Carolina [b abt 1827]
Mary M Butler 3 F b Giles Co TN [b abt 1847]
John S Butler 2 M b Giles Co TN [b abt 1848]
Charles F Butler 1 M b Giles Co TN [b abt 1849]

The three children appear to be the children of John I and Edith J Butler.

Mary's memorial on Find a Grave properly indicates that Polly was a nickname.

Notes for Ann C HUNTER

An old gnenealogy online reported basic informatoinon the first wife of Jones
Connally, reporting her as Ann C Hunter, and their marriage in 1852. This
genealogy is no longer online, at least at the same address. No death
information was reported in this genealogy.

The marriage record was found in Murray County, Georgia, records.

Georgia, Marriage Records From Select Counties, 1828-1978

Marriage 18 Nov 1852 Murray, Georgia, USA

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2850166&id=I43140

"Jones and Ann were married 18 Nov 1852 in Murray County, Georgia. Ann died in
1863, presumably while Jones was off to war in the 1st Texas Lancers. His
younger brother Ned Connally died 3 May 1863 at Chancellorsville (while Mary
Ellen Terry Connally was carrying their daughter, Eddie, born the following
September). Then the widower and widow got married in 1867, producing five
daughters and a United States senator."
-- James Jones, Ancestry Messaging to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 13 August 2017

Jones married the second time in 1867. The place of marriage is stated as
Brazos County, Texas, so gives us an idea that this was also the place where
Ann died.

Jones' second wife was Mary Ellen Terry, whom he married in 1867. Both wives
may have been lost in childbirth.
