Several genealogies have identified here also as the wife of Isom Terry, whose
wife was also named Ceatta. But Isom's wife could not be Ceatta Justice,
because Isom and Ceatta are enumerated together in the 1860 census. Rhodes
and Ceatta Justice married in September 1860, while Isom and his Ceatta, whose
last name I have still not discovered, married in August 1860. Ceatta Terry
was about 5 years older than Ceatta Justice, also, according to the various
records.

"... in regard to Isom's first wife, Ceatta. My great grand Aunt Lee (Rachel's
child), always told my Dad she thought her grandma was Seatty Slone. All my
life (almost 50 years) I grew up thinking my direct ancestor was Slone. Only
in the last 20 or so years did I entertain the notion and try to make Ceatta
Justice fit. Just last night I asked my father again about Isom's first wife's
last name and he again relayed the name Seatty Slone. I understand this is not
proof but it is a valid recollection. My dad has been talking to "old timers"
for about 50 years."

Notes for Althia F KEITH

Althia Keith was born about 1873, in Georgia, probably Whitfield County, where
her parents and other family members lived. Her name is sometimes spelled
Althea, and in the 1930 census we find Altha. In the 1880 census, she was
listed by her nickname, Althy.

1880 Federal Census, Whitfield County, Georgia, 9 June, Finchers (Militia
District 1035), District 197, page 13A, Hse #109, Fam #110
Keith, John B W M 35 Farmer GA GA SC
Keith, Mary C W F 28 Wife Keeping House GA GA SC
Keith, Althy W F 7 GA GA GA

In the next available census, Althia is married, also living in Chattanooga
where her parents had moved the family and are still living. She married
Charles Byron Kistner in 1898, and they have two sons, David and Charles
Byron, Jr, listed here as Byron. Althia's name here appears to be intended as
Althea. There is no dot, but the next to last letter is not open, looking
like an I.

1900 Federal Census, Hamilton County, Tennessee, 8 June, Chattanooga, District

Note that the boys' mother's birthplace is given as Tennessee, even though
Althia's record gives her birth place as Georgia.

In 1910, they have now moved to Georgia, and are living in Atlanta.

1910 Federal Census, Fulton County, Georgia, 18 April, Atlanta Ward 9,
District 139, page 8A, 1016 Avenue DeKalb, Hse#124, Fam #165

Kistner, David H Son M W 20 GA GA GA Bookkeeper, Drugstore
Kistner, C B Jr Son M W 18 TN TN GA Bookkeeper, Market

Note the difference in birthplace reports on the sons now. The eldest David
is reported as born in Georgia, and his father also in Georgia, which is
different from 1900, and fails to match the change in his father's report this
year.

C B Jr, however, is reported as born in Tennessee, and his father likewise.
This matches his report in the 1900 census, which also fails to match his
mother's birthplace.

In 1920 the family is still in Atlanta.

1920 Federal Census, Fulton County, Georgia, 6 January, Atlanta, District 139,
page 8A, Hse#124, Fam #166
Kistner, Charles B Head M W 54 TN Germany TN Trader, Real Estate
Kistner, Althia Wife F W 47 GA GA GA No Occupation
Kistner, Charles B Boarder M W 27 TN TN GA Retail Merchant, Meat Market
Kistner, Lawria B (?) Boarder F W 30 GA GA GA

Birthplace of Charles' mother is reported now as Tennessee instead of Georgia.
I find it odd that son Charles Jr is listed as a Boarder, as is his apparent
wife, Lawria (Laura?).

In 1930, we find them in Whitfield County, Georgia.

1930 Federal Census, Whitfield County, Georgia, 23 April, Militia District 631
(9th District), District 5, page 8A, Off Cedar Valley Rd, Hse#158, Fam #169
Kistner, Charlie B Head Owns House M W 63 First married at age 22 TN
Germany GA Merchant, General Merchandise
Kistner, Altha F Wife F W 57 Married at age 16 GA GA GA No Occupation

From this record, we learn that Althia's middle initial is F. The birthplace
of Charles' mother here changes from Tennessee to Georgia, as in 1900 and
1910.
