That memorial reports that Daniel's first wife Elizabeth Barnett died when their house is Prentiss Mississippi burned. He later joined the Barnetts in Indian Territory. He lived in Kiowa County, Oklahoma, where his second wife Lottie Gardner died, and the genealogy above reported also as Daniel's place of death. But other sources report he died in Tipton, Tillman County, Oklahoma. This is where Lottie was buried when she died, and where Daniel was buried. In 1900 he and his second wife Lottie (Charlotte Gardner) are still in Prentiss, Mississippi. Three dates of birth are reported for Daniel. The genealogy above reports he was born on 31 July 1846, while other family information reported in the memorial on Find a Grave reports a date of 28 May 1847. The memorial reports that Ancestry.com records indicate a birth date of 30 June 1846, a while year earlier. --------------------- Daniel Washington Kingsley Birth Jun. 30, 1846 Union County, South Carolina Death Oct. 17, 1925 Tipton, Tillman County, Oklahoma His first wife is Sarah Elizabeth "Bette" Barnett, who died in July 1878 in Prentiss County when a fire destroyed their home. ---------------------- I'm glad to hear from You Orville, my line goes like this. My father was Jack Osborne McSwain, he died in Pembroke Pines, Florida. His father was William Boyd McSwain, who was married to Bonnie Mitchell, had 3 boys. She died and he remarried Mary Kiser, they had 2 girls. Next comes Osborne Benjamin McSwain. He was married to Amanda Childers, they were from down about Cherokee county SC. Osborne's father was Thomas Asbury McSwain, mother Alice (Aly Ann) Carpenter, then comes Charles McSwain who was married to Luraner Washburn McSwain, he and she had abt 16 children together. She died. I should have her death date somewhere in my records, probably in the 1840s. He then married my g.g.g.grandmother Sarah L Throckmorton. Charles's father was David McSwain, I think his mother was Catherine Robertson. -- Larry McSwain, personal Ancestry Messaging to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 5 December 2014 ---------------------- "The first wife of William Boyd McSwain was Bonnie Mitchell, daughter of Hiram and Francis Clercie Sizemore Mitchell, she had the 3 boy's by William (William Boyd JR, Jack and Robert) my step-grandmother Mary Kiser had Betty and Carolyn who I really through the years haven't got to know. Bonnie died in 1929 in Newberry, S.C. with TB, William and Bonnie's residence at that time was East Robinson st. Gaffney, S.C." -- Larry McSwain, Comment on an Ancestry genealogy, 22 October 2014 Genealogies report that Mary's full name was Mary Kiser. She had been married before marrying William Boyd McSwain. Her first married name was Jack. Hiowver, Mary's granddaughter reports that Maybelle was not a middle name of Mary, but her twin sister who was stillborn. She also reports that the information in these genealogies that Mary was first married to someone named Jack is incorrect. Boyd McSwain, whom we report here, was her first husband. "Incorrect information is she was previously married to Jack no last name given. Mary had a twin, Maybelle who was still born but Mary survived. Mary Kiser married William Boyd McSwain (known as Boyd). This was her first marriage his second. They had two daughters Betty (my mother) and Daisey Carolyn. Boyd died from pneumonia and complications from Diabetes. Mary later married Arthur Echols Early, no children between the two but he had several from his first marriage. After his death she married Maurice Eggers, they had no children and there were none from his first marriage. Maryâs daughter Betty is living but Daisey Carolyn is deceased." -- Susan Howard, Geneanet Messaging to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 18 November 2019 Mary was reported in the 1940 census as Boyd McSwain's wife. Most records record Charles' name as Charles B Kistner. We know his middle name was Byron, because in the 1900 census, his second son is reported as C B Kistner, Jr, and in 1900 had been reported as Byron Kistner. In 1920, the son is enumerated as Charles B Kistner, the same as his father.
