William's enumeration for the 1910 census in Hunt County, Texas, reports his mother born in Virginia, rather than Mississippi, as reported for her in 1860. The 1880 census for Martha Jane Lovin, in Lamar County, Texas, reports her as born in Mississippi. Also his father, likewise reported as born in Mississippi, is now reported as born in South Carolina. 1900 Federal Census, Hunt County, Texas, 23 June, Greenville Ward 2, District 122, Page 57A, 244 West Spenser St, Hse #240, Family #241 Lovin, William M Head W M Mar 1852 22 Miss SC VA Railroad Car Repairer Lovin, Lula Wife W F Mar 1851 49 AL FL NC Lovin, Pearl C Step-daughter W F Sept 1876 23 Texas Miss Alabama Dressmaker Donaldson, Willie Daughter W F Feb 1879 21 Married 2 years Texas Miss Alabama Donaldson, Richard Son-in-law W M June 1874 29 TN TN TN Railroad Laborer Donaldson, Andrew Grandson W M Nov 1899 6 months TN TN TN By 1920 William has followed the railroad up to the northwest and is living in Childress, Childress County, Texas.
