A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at Letitia Baptist Church near Lawton, with Mike Tompkins officiating. Lora attended school in Sterling. She graduated from State Cosmetology School in Lawton and started her career as a beautician. She married Oscar Carlson on May 15, 1948 which [marriage] later ended. In 1971, she married Kenneth Curry. He preceded her in death in 2000. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Lora loved attending the senior citizen center dances in Harrah. Lora willed her body to OU Medical in honor of her beloved son, Randall Carlson, who did the same in 2013. Survivors include her daughter. We know that Tory Elizabeth Green was married for a short itme before she died. I have seen no information on her husband, surnamed Thornton. Other Thortons lived in neighboring counties and Charles Elvin Thornton was married to Minnie Green, Tory's cousin.
