Notes
- She went by Lahoma. Calling children by their middle name is a common practice in the Jenkins line in previous generations.
Our family visited the Hendrons on a vacations in 1956, when I was 8 years old. I later visited Aunt Lahoma as an adult, when she lived alone in Oxnard, near Santa Barbara.
A granddaughter of Lahoma contacted me in November 2008. Joe David'sdaughter Mia Hendron Haas comments about her grandmother:
"My sister and I, along with my mom were very close to Lahoma until she passed away in 1991. She was a wonderful Grandmother and always loved visits from us."
