- In 1930, Climmie is living at home with his mother and sister. Mother Malissa (Malissia) is a widow, age 53, head of home, born Alabama.Climmie is age 25, and sister Eunice is 17. They live next door to Alfred McPherson, age 31, and family. Alfred was born in Arkansas, but his father was born in Michigan, and his mother was born in Alabama.
This Alfred is Malissa's son from her first marriage to Alfred Roberts in Arkansas Alfred apparently died between December 1898, when Alford was born and 1904 when Jospeh and Malissa's first son Archie was born.
In Richard Theilig's genealogy, the name is spelled Alfred for the father and Alford for the son. Alfred/Alford also had a brother ManfordMobil Roberts, born 1897.
