Two sources, connected withthe Le Strange family line, report the marriage to Richard Talbot wason or before 23 August 1383. A source in the World Family Tree (anonymous compilation of Genealogy.com) has only the general date of 1375,which is 8 years before the exact date 23 August 1383 in the other sources. I would normally prefer a source that gives an exact date. These other sources, Tudorplace and Worldroots, have seemed credible and careful. However, with a birth date for Ankaret of about 1350, the marriagedate in 1383 would mean that Ankaret did not marry until she was 33.This is very unusual for that period. The date of 1383, However, is also attractive because it is one year before the birth of the Talbots' first child John. This also seems expected.

Ankaret Le Strange remained the Baroness of Blackmere during her first marriage to Richard Lord Talbot of Goodrich (spelled Goderich in that time) Lord Talbot. Lord Talbot was the custodian of the Le StrangeCastle of Blackmere as well as his Goderich Castle. At her death shepassed the Blackmere title to her second husband Thomas 6th Lord Furnival Neville. At her death Thomas Neville became Lord Strange of Blackmere. Thus the Blackmere title and lands passed from the Le Strange family into the Neville family.
