Notes
- Virgil is the only child with a C initial, listed in the census in 1930. This would seem to stand for the name Cobble, his mother's maidenname. But Loretta Gregory Gay indicated her mother Alpharetta Mae Gregory told her Orville's middle name was Cobble. No middle initial orname is recorded for Orville in sources I have seen. He has no middle name in his cemetery listing.
