Edward Rowland, of course, would be Maggie's last child with BenjaminRowland. Emogene and Jack here appear to be the children of William from a previous marriage, since they were born before 1920, when both William and Maggie are single, in their own households with their children.
Emogene matches the child reported as Emma J age 8 in 1920. Jack E is the right age to be the child reported in 1920 as William (possiblyWilliam E).
I found our more about the son William in March 2008. The name of Hazel Bob McSwain Porter's husband is William E Jack Porter, as reportedin Hazel Bob's obituary. This combines all the names in these two censuses, though the initial E is in a different place. Hazel Bob died on 18 February 2008. The obituary reports that William had preceded here in death, but gave no date.
