There is a Larkin Whitfield Dycus who was born in 1849.  He would fitin age to be the son of Larkin and Elizabeth Compton.  However, hisbirth date on his memorial in Find a Grave is 1849 (no birth date ison the stone, only the death date), and this younger Larkin is notlisted in the 1850 or 1860 census for them.  He may be a nephew ofLarkin and Elizabeth.  The Larkin born in 1849 married Paulina JaneElliott, who died in 1812.
