    It is shown by the records that B F Smith, private, Company C, 32dTExas Cavalry, Confederate State Army, enlisted November 4, 1861.  Onthe muster roll of that company dated April 5, 1864 (the last onfile), he is reported as "Absent, furloughed for 50 days, 22dDecember, 1863, by order General Johnston to go to Texas -- supposedto be there yet."  No later record of his has been found.
