Joseph Cornett was the father of Betty Jo, Billy Ann, Doris, and John. Obit: Joseph Cornett died in San Jose Hospital [San Jose is in Santa Clara County] from head injuries received in an accident on Highway 1, 10 miles south of Santa Cruz. Mr. Cornett, a native of Arkansas, had lived in Watsonville for the last 30 years. He was a member of the local Teamsters union. Mr. Cornett leaves his wife, Violet, his mother, Mrs. Nancy Cornett of San Jose, his son John, three daughters, Mrs. Billie Brown and Mrs. Doris Connell of Watsonville and Mrs. Betty King of San Jose, two brothers, John and Gene Cornett, two sisters, Mrs. Velma Harrison and Mrs. Robin Eldridge of Oklahoma City and 11 grandchildren.
