Harold Russ
Harold Dean Russ, 73, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Davis Hospital, Statesville. Born on April 11, 1936, in Hollywood, Fla., he was a son of the late Robert Elbert and Ava Sellers Russ. Mr. Russ was a retired security guard, and prior to that he worked in construction and textiles. He formerly served in the National Guard.
Mr. Russ is survived by his children, Teresa Stevenson and husband, John, of Hendersonville, Debbie Moon and husband, Grant, of Statesville, Rodney Russ and wife, Lucinda, David Russ and wife, Sherie, all of Mooresville;
brother, Danny Russ and wife, Tammy, of Mooresville; sister, Alice Freeze and husband, Bobby, of Caldwell, Texas; and grandchildren, Megan Russ, Brittany Russ, Seth Stevenson, Kristian Stevenson, Lauren Russ and Austin Russ.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 26, at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. John Stevenson, Rev. Eddie Graham, and Rev. Ralph Robinette officiating. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville served the family of Mr. Russ.
