Mrs. Dacre G. Farrar's obituary appears in the Richmond Times Dispatch, Jan. 15, 1953, Page 9. She died Jan. 14 at the age of 81, at the Home for Confederate Women. The widow of Blair Farrar, she was born at 'Piping Tree,' King William County, where she spent her girlhood. She was survived by three sisters: Mrs. Alice Duvall, of Keswick; Mrs. Betty Dew Swift, of Richmond, and Mrs. Mary Cole Lyon, of St. Paul, Minn. Burial in Hollywood Cemetery.
