Charlie Rader Cushed to Death Under Engine
Railroad engineer Charlie Rader died in a train crash when a Katy Flyer engine overturned in a switch in the Ft Hodge railyard north of Fort Worth, Texas. No cause for the accident was reported.
The body was moved to the Robertson undertaking parlor in Fort Worth, then transferred either 1 or 2 July to Denison by the Shields Undertaking Company of Denison, to the Rader home at 610 West Hull St, Denison (Grayson County).
Charlie was considered one of the most competent engineers on the Katy line. Survived by his wife and two daughters, Ethel, a music student in New York, and Edna. Final arrangements to be finalized when Ethel arrives from New York. No dates mentioned in the article.

Charles' death date on his grave is 30 June 1920. But in the Denison City Directory for 1919, his wife Gertrude was reported as a widow. His obituary article above reports the accident and Charles' death was on wednesday, which does match the date n the grave, 30 June 1920.
