Edna Winter Pickett
Funeral services for Edna Winter Pickett, 95, of 5009 Westmore, West Orange, will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home. The Rev. Arthur M. Pry, paster of St. John's United Methodist Church, will officiate. Graveside rites will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of members of Rebekah Lodge 103.
Visitation will be today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church.
She died Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Jones Health Center after an illness. A native of Indian Territory, OK., and 71 year Orange resident, she was a homemaker and member of St. John's United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include four nieces, Clotilda Winter of West Orange (whom she raised), Ora Beard of Woodville, Willie Kline of Port Arthur and Edna Colter of Texas City; and a nephew, Cecil Smith of Florien, La.
Following information provided by Pam Smith (FAG 47736870), Her husband is the grandson of Willie Kline, Edna's niece.

Edna's four siblings were: Ella Lucinda; Alex C.; Sidney "Sid"; and Claude Coleman Winter.
Edna and A.J. did not have any children of their own. Edna's brother Claude's wife died and left him with a young daughter, Clotilda "Tillie" Winter.
Edna's brother Claude was married to A.J. Pickett's sister, Etta Lillie Pickett.
Edna and A.J. raised their niece, Tillie as if she was their own child.
Clotilda never married nor had any children.
