  Henry is the son of Benz E Schmidt/Smith and Mary Emily Leverett Smith Jones. Mary is also buried in the Rowland-Jones Cemetery in Ethel, but his father's burial place is not known. Benz was from Prussia (Germany).
  
  Benz and Mary married in Arkansas County and were enumerated in Prairie Township of Arkansas County in the 1860 census. He died some time after Henry's birth in March 1866 and the 1870 census, when she was reported as the wife of widower William Foote Jones.
  
  Not much is known about Henry. No death record has been found. The burials in this private cemetery on the Rowland and Jones farm were not marked by carved headstones but only by natural rocks.
