Notes
- Some sources have spelled Minnie's middle name as Lea. Niece Lou Ila Gregory Jenkins spells the middle name as Minnie Lee. I found also that her name on her father 's WWI Draft Registration is spelled that way, when she is listed as the nearest relative. The name and the signature match, seeming to indicate that Joe himself filled out that form.
Minine may have been born in Pontotoc County of Chickasaw Nation. No record has been found, but family records report that her youngest brother, Homer, was born in 1906 in Center in Pontotoc County. It seems they moved to Marlow in Pickens County, which in November 1907 became Stephens County, Oklahoma, some time after Homer's birth.
In 1910, Minnie is 11 years old in the household of her widowed father Joe (Jorile) Green in Stephens County, Oklahoma, in the Richland township near Marlow.
