  Doris' name and birth date are embossed on a joint gravestone with her husband Jacob Green, even though they were divorced in 1972, 12 years before his death.  Doris' side of the grave marker has no date of death, and her date of birth is unreadable on the photo.

  A family photo in later life has Doris' name as Doris Ripley.  Searching under her name with a Ripley surname, I found her record of marriage in Nevada to John Lowe Ripley.  Even though Doris and Jake were divorced, Doris did not remarry until after Jake Green's death.

  I also found a directory record under the name Doris Deanne Ripley.  The record (extracted from a telephone directory or combined sources) reports her biirth date as 17 Jun, but that has been corrected to 1 January, matching other records.  Niote that the residence date on this record under her second married name is the same year as the one above  in her first married name.

  I found a Social Security Death Index entry that appeared to be for Doris, but the death date was in1979, and her husband Jake's death certificate in 1984 lists his wife Doris Green as the informant.
