Other facts

Married Hester QUANCE in London, Middlesex, England.1

  • John, son of Thomas Molineaux (Mulleneaux) and Ann Mullins apparently took his mother's name.  This might have been because it is a simpler, more English form of the same base name.  Few details are available.  John's son Isaac also took this surname.  There may have been other children, but information is scarce, and I have found only Isaac.

John's son Isaac emigrated to the United States.

I see you have Hester QUANCE 1693 of Batcombe marrying John MOLINEAUX in London.

But there is a marriage in Jan 1722/23 at Evercreech, John MULLINS and Hester QUANCE [on FreeREG], surely the Isaac MULLINS baptism at Evercreech 5 Nov 1723 would be a product of this marriage? Siblings baptised Evercreech : Betty 17 Mar 1725/26, John 20 Oct 1728, James 31 Mar 1731, Abram 17 Apr 1737 [all to John and Hester or Esther, on FreeREG] and possibly Mary 28 Dec 1733 [to Wm and Esther, must be either John and Esther or Wm and Frances??]. Then a burial at Evercreech 4 Mar 1771 of Esther MULLINS aged 79 is probably Hester/Esther nee QUANCE.
