    Bailey married Elizabeth McDole.  I have not found their marriage record, but found that Elizabeth was living in Bakersfield, Kern County, California with her parents.  They had moved there from Arkansas, where Elizabeth was born, if we have the right Elizabeth McDole.  They must have met and married when he was in California with his parents after his service in WWII.  Bailey's parents were in Merced County around that time, not far from Bakersfield, which is in Kern County.  Both towns are in the San Joaquin Valley, north of Ventura County, where most of their records are found.

    From Bailey J Jr's obituary, I learned the names of their three children.  Through searches on these names, I found the children's birth records, and thus the residences of their parents at the time of each birth.  After finding helpful information on these three children, a search discovered an earlier child that did not live.

    With these two records we can say that Jack and Elizabeth married in early 1946, soon after he was released from military service in December 1945.  Their first child that lived was born in 1950 in San Francisco.

    They moved to Texas not long after, where their next child Corwyn was born in 1953.  Elizabeth and Bailey J III were living in San Antonio when Corwyn was born in 1953.

    There is another record of their time in Texas, reporting Bailey J as an instructor of pediatrics at the University of Texas in 1955.  In 1955 Bailey J Jr was listed in the Galveston, Texas, City Directory  This was the first record I had found that corroborated the report in his earlier-found obituary that reports him as a medical doctor.  The medical professional directory from 1961 was found later, in May 2015, and a similar entry for 1962-1963, in September 2015.

    In 1955 there is a listing in California for his parents Bailey Jack and Edith Lovin in the City Directory of Merced, California, in the San Joaquin Valley of California.

    Bailey's next record is back in Ventura County, California, in 1956.  There are entries matching Bailey J (Jack) Sr, Elizabeth's husband Jack and Jack's brother Joseph Lee.  Both Bailey J (apparently B J Sr) and Jack (B J Jr) are car salesmen.  Brother Joe and his wife Betty are part owners of a car dealership.  The wife of both Bailey J and Jack here is reported as Edith.

    Bailey became a physician, graduating in 1951.  This listing, found in May 2015, provides details of a hint found earlier in his obituary that he was a doctor.  There is one directory listing also (see below), reporting him as an instructor in pediatrics at the University of Texas in 1955.

    I originally found out in his obituary that Bailey Jackson Lovin Jr was an MD.  In his short obituary, his wife is named as Elizabeth, when in the previous records it has been Edith.  Edith must have passed away earlier and Bailey married this Elizabeth.  I have not found the marriage record for either marriage.
