Note that Margaret is reported as Russel's grandmother. Neither of his parent's mothers was named Margaret that we known of. But this is most likely his wife Ethel Holden's grandmother, Margaret R J Criswell Holden Wigley. Jerry Robnette's genealogy reports that William Holden's mother (Ethel Holden McSwain's grandmother) was Margaret Criswell. Margaret was enumerated in the 1880 census in her father's home as a widow name Margaret Wigley, with several stepchildren named Wigley.
John Holden is Ethel's brother. So it is unclear why he is reported as Russel's nephew. It would be possible if John's mother Jane was a sister of Russel. I do not know Jane's maiden name, and cannot find a Jane McSwain among these families that we might connect here. It could also be just an enumerator error as the relationships of Margaret Wigley.
