May 1937 Name listed as CHARLES NEWTON HENDRON
Charles' death certificate has the name Charled Leonard Hendron. All the details match the person we know as Charles Newton in so many other other records. His wife was the informant, so it seems unlikely she would have been mistaken on his middle name. It may be that Charles changed his name, or perhaps had four names instead of three, but I doubt this. But the certificate is typed. So the typist reducing the doctor's original handwriting may have misread the handwriting or absently typed the wrong middle name.
