Other facts

Married Gertrude LYLES

  • Clyde's mother died in 1893, according to the Hise genealogy.  Likely in childbirth with Clyde.  His father died in 1899.  In 1900 he is in the household of a McKinney family, with parents Richard S and Mary.  Clyde is reported as their grandson.

I cannot figure out this relationship, since his mother's name was Burch, and in 1910 we find Clyde with her parents.  There are two older Burch girls in the McKinney household also, listed as nieces.  So the McKinney family is kin to the Burches somehow.  The girls being nieces would make it seem that Mary McKinney was a Burch, but this would mean Clyde was a nephew.
