Notes
- William's middle name is uncertain. His memorial on Find a Grave has his name as William D Cox. In the 1920 census he was William M Cox. In 1910, simply Wililam. In the 1926 Comanche census, the middle initial is filled out when he is reported as William Murry Cox, still at home with his parents, with his brother James Monroe Cox.
