  In 1850, widowed Barsheba Carter is living with several children in the household headed by another widow, Ann Green, Barsheba's sister.  Ann was the stepmother of Isaac Green next door, who had just married Barsheba's daughter Mahala.  Isaac and Mahala live next door.  Ann's stepson Elisha is on the other side of Isaac and Mahala.

  On her gravestone, Barsheba is named Abosaba Carter.  She is memorialized on a joint stone with her daughter Mahala (named here as Hiley Stokes), wife of Colin Stokes, Mahal's second husband.

  Daniel and Rebecca both died in Platte County, Missouri
  Daniel in 1841 and Rebecca 1842.
  Daniel was born in Pennsylvania and Rebecca was born in Virginia
  
  In Green Cemetery she is listed as Abasaba Carter Stokes
  The stone might [indicate that] Barsheba was the mother of Mrs Stokes. [This is correct]
  Barshaba married Caswell Carter 5 Feb 1838 in Greene, Tennessee
  To this marriage 4 children were born:
