    Bronta D. Green Obituary:

    Services for centenarian Bronta D. Green [Bronta B Green] , formerly of Sorento, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Perfetti Funeral Home there with the Rev. James Howie officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday in the funeral home from one hour before the service.

    Mrs. Green died at 11:35 a.m. December 3, 1999, in Ridgewood Health Care Center, Jasper, Ala. She was 100 years old on July 9. She had resided in Jasper for the past eight years. Most of her younger years were spent in the Sorento and Fairfield areas. She also resided in Lakeland, Fla, for 26 years.

    She was born in Sorento, a daughter of William J. and Sally Gill Jestes. She married Lloyd L. Green on October 18, 1919 in Hillsboro. He died July 5, 1962.

    Surviving is a son, William "Bill" Green and wife Betty of Jasper. Preceding her in death were a son, Lloyd L. Green, Jr. in 1981 and two sisters, Irene Griffiths and Irma Shult.
