But some time soon after that, Eva moved ito San Diego, California. Eva was reported in the 1926 San Diego City Directory as the widow of CC Paxton.

By 1930, she had married Clarence Hobart and they were living in Tulsa. By 1940 Clarence & Eva had moved to nearby Nowata Co, where they were living next door to her father.
Charles' memorial on Find a Grave reports that he was buried the same day he died.
