  James does not appear with Lizzie in 1920, when she is a widow with 3 children, in her parents' home across the border in Campobello Township, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.  The census notes that in 1910, she has already lost one child.  It appears James also died before 1920.  Another child named Alice died in 1913, and hers is the only death certificate found for the children who died early.
