"I am the g-greatdaughter of Mollie Terry. She was married to my g-grandfather Stephen Gaddy before she married Duncan. ... She appears on the 1910 census with a grandson 1 1/2 years old named something Roscoe. Mollie had a son with Stephen named George Roscoe. None of the 5 children show up with her on the 1910 census and I am so curious to know what happened to Stephen. Her youngest child would have been 5 years old when she married Duncan. ... I am the granddaughter of Reka Nana Gaddy. She shows up on the 1900 census with Stephen and Mollie as Reiker."

"I would assume that Mollie and Steve married in IT since the older children were born there. Bessie and Jessie were twins and I think Jessie must have died in infancy. Bessie was blind and ended up in a home for unwed mother's in CA. I have had contact with her grandson who was adopted from the home. He is an Air Force flight surgeon. He seems to think that Steve [Jr] ended up in CA, but I have found no trace of him after he was mentioned in the 1910 letter written by Duncan."

The 1900 census has the family name as Gaddis. Both Elmer and Reiker (Reka) were reported as born in 1896, but in different months! The entry for Reka first had age 2, then it was changed to age 4. Her year was likely 1898. Her birth date is reported in her Social Security records as 15 March 1898.
