• Jane's name in not included among the names of the 7 children mentioned in John's will.  All the children were named twice, and then signed the will, except Jane and Fred.  This indicates these two died before the will was written and signed 2 June 1909.
  
  In 1860 Mary Jane was reported as 3 months old, under the name M A.  In 1870, she was Mary.  In 1880, she was Jane.  In 1860, if her age of 3 months is correct, she was born in March 1860.
