  By 1930, they had moved to the northeast along the Mississippi River into New Madrid County, Missouri, in the bootheel north of Blytheville, Arkansas.  Wade was reported as a farmer.

  The 1940 census informs us that Wade and Olive (Ollie) moved from New Madrid, Missouri, to Fresno, California, between 1935 and 1940.  The enumerator entered their residence of 1935 as New Madrid County, Arkansas, probably out of ignorance and association with Arkansas as the birthplace of both.  There is no New Madrid County, Arkansas.

  There is some confusion in soome genealogies on source records, because there are at least two couple named Wade H and Ollie or Olive Frazier.  It is uncertain that this directory record from Little Rock is the correct Wade Frazier, given the 1940 record in Fresno County, California.  The 1940 record matches the 1930 census in New Madrid, Missouri, and the Social Security record of the daughter Ferral reported in 1940 reports her parents as Wade Frazier and Ollie Stevens.  So the connections through to Fresno seem firm.

  Some have also associated a record for a Wade Hampton Fraziere in Rappahannock, Virginia, with our Wade H Frazier in Faulkner County, Arkansas.  They attach a WWI draft registration for the Virginia Wade to our Wade oin Arkansas.  This makes no sense, since the 1920 census reports that he was in Arkansas in his parents' home at age 21.  And he married there in 1923.  The WWII draft card of what appears to be the same Virginia Wade Hampton Frazier's reports he was born in Sylva County, North Carolina, and his 1942 residence was Hobbs, Lea County, New Mexico,

  There is another death record for a Wade Frazier with the same birth date.  This death occurred in Culver City, Los Angeles County, Californiqa.  It appears the correct death record is the one above from Tulare County, because the maiden name of Wade's mother matches (though transcribed in the index as Manney rather than Mauney).  A burial matching the death in Tulare County has a memorial on Find a Grave, presented below.
