- Mary is listed as Molly in some family references. This was a common name for Mary. The 1880 census reports her as age 38, which would make her birth about 1842. But the 18509 census reprots she was only 4 years old then. It is likely more correct that the 1880 census.

From the report of age 4 in the 1850 census, Mary should be age 14 now, not 21. Going by the age reported in the 1880 census, she would have been born in about 1842, which would make her about 18 in 1860. She was 30 in 1870, which would have placed birth in about 1840.
