Notes
- "Sarah 'Alla' Strange, sister to Oscar M Strange, most probably had the middle name of 'Ellen.' Aunt 'Ellie' was the name used by myself and siblings. Sarah 'Ellen' Strange married a brother of my mother, Grace Ellen Rinehart. I do not know his name, except that he was usually referred to as 'Laws' or 'Loss.' Aunt Ellie' and husband moved to Gaston County, NC, where they lived for most of their remaining lives."

The original given order of his names was probably Perry Lawson Rinehart. There is a pattern in this family of using the middle name and nickname of the middle name. In the 1900 census for this family Lawson was listed as Perry L Rinehart. His father was listed as William H, but most commonly is known as Harrison, as the only name on his grave, and his marriage record has the name as Harris. His mother was enumerated as Roda C, but went by Katie, the nickname for her middle name Catherine. His younger sister, Grace Ellen was listed in the census at 1 year old as Gracy E, but she was always called Ellie (or Ally, according to some descendants).
