JOHNNIE OTHELL BROWN
DENISON - Johnnie Othell Brown, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Denison.
Visitation will be from 6 -7 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Roland Winter, Ashlee Martin, Kennyon Williams, Lewis Tatum, Darin Tatum and Danny Harris. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1501 S.H. 91 North, Denison.
Johnnie was born on Oct. 15, 1925 in Allen, Okla., the son of Hugh Lee Brown and Janie Jones. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 35 years and the KO&G Railroad for seven years. He served in the Navy Sea Bees from 1943 to 1946, where he received the Victory Medal, the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. He loved the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He also loved to fish and play with his grandchildren.
He is survived by son Jerry Brown and wife Ohma of Denison; special friends Edith Beard and Robert Montgomery; grandchildren Crystal Brown and Stephanie Brown; great-grandchildren Kayla Brown, Kinzy Cork, Jonathan Cork and Alex Brown.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher Funeral Home.
